2 former Ind. casino workers charged with theft

LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. (AP) - Two former employees at southeastern Indiana's Hollywood Casino are facing theft and other charges alleging they bilked the casino out of more than $400,000.

State police say 42-year-old Christopher Krabbe of West Harrison, Ind., and 39-year-old Michael Burnett of Fairfield, Ohio, both face felony charges of racketeering, theft and money laundering. They were arrested and released from the Dearborn County Jail earlier this week after posting bond.

Burnett was the Lawrenceburg casino's former surveillance director, while Krabbe had been the casino's surveillance technician director.

Investigators allege that the men set up two false security equipment companies and would purchase security equipment and charge repair work from their companies to the casino. State police say the men often overcharged and double-billed for the equipment and work.
